Turnaround Time
As the adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) continues to progress, turnaround time requirements for patient healthcare documentation likewise continue to be shortened. These shortened turnaround times assist providers in rendering safe and expeditious care and treatment to their patients.
In response to the evolving trends in our industry, AHDI’s Managers/Supervisors Alliance conducted an informal benchmarking survey of transcription managers and supervisors in the fall of 2017 to determine if established document turnaround time (TAT) standards have changed for transcription/editing in the acute care, clinic, and private practice sectors. The result is a white paper, in which AHDI provides current recommendations related to the complex arena of turnaround time expectations and healthcare documentation delivery.
