What is an AHDI Component?

AHDI's components are local chapters and state, regional, and web-based associations that support and promote the goals of the national organization. Components provide:

• Opportunities for networking, professional recognition, advocacy, and education at the grassroots level.
• A forum where medical transcriptionists can assist each other through the exchange of information and professional growth.
• Continuing education programs that assist with recertification requirements and provide medical transcriptionists with the knowledge and skills to achieve professional excellence.
• A place where members develop important and transferable leadership skills through volunteerism through the local, state, or regional level.
